Healthy soil, higher yield

US-based firm brings breakthrough product to Iloilo farmers

Iloilo farmers will now have a chance to test a 100% organic agricultural product dubbed as “nature phenomenon.” Proven to both “heal” the farm soil and bring in higher, quality yield, MicrobeBio is the US-based company making the offer here.
In a press conference, MicrobeBiochairman Thu Pham shared the good news, a longtime advocacy of his company.
“This is a 100% organic agricultural innovation…for healthier soil, higher yield and cost effective,” Pham told reporters present adding how he is concerned with health issues linked to unhealthy produce. “Ours is a product that offers sustainable solutions.”
MicrobeBio is a US-based microbial technology company dedicated to developing microbial solutions for the agricultural industry.
“We specialize in identifying and selecting the optimal collection of microbes to produce specialty microbial products that benefit the environment and create sustainable farming practices,” MicrobeBio presentation went. “MicrobeBio is committed to improving the productivity and profit for farmers, while keeping our products environmentally friendly and affordable. We maintain a team of highly skilled researchers to achieve these goals and carry our vision to you. Our mission is to supply the agricultural industry with a viable answer to feeding the world – life-giving microbes.”
Also present in Pham’s presentation were representatives of farmers’ groups in Iloilo, agricultural officials and environmental advocates.

One MicrobeBio product for use in a one hectare farmland is seen to bring in savings of at least 50% up to 80% maximum benefit. Further still, it would be the first of its kind proven to correct destructive soil acidity at no harm to humans, animal and plant life.
Yet how do microbes help improve the soil on a long-term basis?
“Microbes improve soil tilth, lessens soil compaction, and improves water channeling and aerification.  Additionally, the microbes are excellent nutrient recyclers and decomposers, resulting in an abundance of nutrients and minerals in the soil over a long-term period.  As a result, most, if not all the major and minor nutrients will increase in the soil horizon profile and will be available for new plant growth as well as carryover into the next planting season. Once microbial products are applied to soils consistently, microbial populations and Colony Forming Units (CFU) will increase exponentially.  This improves biodiversity and protection of the plants and roots.  The more CFU’s that are available in the soil then the more the plant will thrive and grow with a greater yield potential,” MicrobeBio presentation added.
“We have conducted rigorous lab and field compatibility studies in Africa, southeast Asia, and the U.S. to ensure the synergy and efficacy of this formula,” Pham disclosed as he showed quality yield and comparison photos of demo farms in Vietnam.
Distribution of MicrobeBio products in the Philippines is underway with Pham starting off his visit to Iloilo.
In a courtesy visit, Pham was welcomed at the Department of Agriculture (DA) Regional Office of Assistant Secretary Hansel Didulo. (Philippine News Service (PNS) Special)
